Local Certified Roofers is owned and operated by James Turner. James also owns Best Roofing Now, a roofing company in Charlotte, NC, which is the registry's founding listing and is marked Affiliated wherever it appears.
What affiliation affects, and what it cannot
Best Roofing Now passed the same verification standard as every other listing, and its ledger shows the same dated checks. Affiliation buys it nothing: not a better ledger, not softer moderation, not a hidden ranking boost. Where it holds a paid membership, it is labeled Featured Member exactly like anyone else. The label is on every surface where payment affects order, for every member, including ours.
Why this registry exists
Running a roofing company means watching homeowners get burned by storm chasers, unlicensed crews, and directories that sell trust badges to whoever pays. The fix is boring and effective: check the license, check the insurance, check the reviews, publish the dates, and never let money touch any of it. That is the whole product.
How the registry makes money
Contractor memberships only. Members get featured placement (always labeled), routed quote requests, and stats. Homeowners never pay, there are no display ads, and we do not sell leads per-piece or your contact information.
